Josh Schwartz (born August 6, 1976) is an American screenwriter and television producer. Schwartz is best known for creating and executive producing the FOX drama The O.C. Schwartz recently created two new television shows, The CW's Gossip Girl and NBC's comedy-spy series, Chuck.
At 26, he became the youngest person in network history to create a network series and run its day-to-day production. He currently resides in Los Angeles.

Graduated from The Wheeler School, a private school in Providence, Rhode Island, class of 1994
Has two younger siblings, a sister and brother
Parents were both toy designers for Hasbro Toys in Rhode Island
Created 'The O.C." at the age of 26, becoming the youngest hour-long show creator ever.
He went back to the Wheeler School, to give the graduation speech in 2005.
In the O.C. he has based some teachers on some of his high school teachers, including a science teacher and dean from the Wheeler School.
