"It's My Life" is a synthpop song written by Mark Hollis and Tim Friese-Greene for Talk Talk's second album It's My Life (1984).
"It's My Life" is Bon Jovi's first single from the album Crush. It was released on May 23, 2000. It was written by Jon Bon Jovi, Richie Sambora, Jay Orpin and Max Martin. It hit #33 on the Billboard charts.
"It's My Life" became one of the most successful Bon Jovi singles, hitting #1 across many countries and most importantly, becoming a symbol of band's longevity as they prevailed through many different changes in the mainstream rock scene with admirable success. It was credited with reviving their career after they came off a five year break, during which they each pursued individual solo careers. It was also credited with introducing the veteran band to an entirely new, younger audience.
"My Life" is a song by Billy Joel that first appeared on his 1978 album 52nd Street. A single version was released in the fall of 1978 and reached #2 on the U.S. adult contemporary chart. Early the next year it peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The song begins with drums and electric bass, followed by a keyboard riff. The riff is also used as a fill between verse and chorus sections and is also played at the end. The section order is intro-verse-fill-chorus-bridge-v-f-c-b-solo-c-outro.
The melody echoes the ending of Elton John's 1975 single "Someone Saved My Life Tonight".
Chicago members Peter Cetera and Donnie Dacus performed the backing vocals and sang along with Billy Joel during the bridge and in the outro ("Keep it to yourself, it's my life").
"My Life" was used as the theme song for the television series Bosom Buddies (1980-82), however due to licensing issues it does not appear on the DVD release of the series.
During the fadeout the interlude repeats five times with the backup vocalists singing, "Keep it to yourself, it's my life," over the last eight intervals.
"It's My Life" is a rock song composed by Roger Atkins and Carl D'Errico and recorded as a 1965 hit single by The Animals.
"My Life is a song recorded by R&B girl group TLC for their third album, Fanmail. The song was released unofficially as the fifth overall single from the album to close the gap between official singles "Unpretty" and "Dear Lie", but has never received a full commercial release. The vinyl promo is a rare TLC collectors item and few know of its existence. "My Life" received a very limited release and thus failed to chart.
